Merlin Securities Conjures Up $20 Million

NEW YORK, NY -- Financial software company Merlin Securities has announced that it received a $20 million investment from a well-known venture capital firm.

Merlin provides advanced reporting and operational services to hedge funds.  Their system provides managers with a dynamic fund transparency reporting tool that includes both performance attribution and risk management components.

Sequoia Capital invested in the round.  The company did not disclose proceeds purposes, other than to say it was an "expansion" round.
