Fitbit Fits Into $2 Million Venture Capital Funding

San Francisco, California  --  Medical device company Fitbit has raised $2 million in a round of institutional venture capital financing.

Fitbit has developed a device that helps individuals track their physical activity and inactivity during the day.

True Ventures led the round, which also included SoftTech VC. The company said it would use the capital to fund the consumer launch of its tracking system.
