Eventful Gets Venture Capital And New Partner

San Diego, California  --  Software company Eventful announced that it has raised $10 million in its third round of strategic and venture capital financing.

The company has built a software and data platform for searching and publishing events, calendars and venues.

Telefonica S.A. led the investment round, which also included Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Bay Partners. The company also announced that Telefonica will use Eventful's system for its cellular service offering.
