LeftHand Networks Acquired By HP Corporation

Palo Alto, California  --  Storage networking company LeftHand Networks has been acquired by HP, according to statements by both companies.

LeftHand Networks provides a fully featured IP-based storage area network that allows enterprise customers to build SANs using their existing Ethernet infrastructure.

HP paid $360 million in the all cash acquisition.  LeftHand Networks was founded in 1999, and claims more than 11,000 installations across 3000 different customers.
