San Francisco, California -- Wireless company Adura Technologies announced that it has raised $5 million in its first round of institutional venture capital financing.

Adura has developed clean energy technologies that apply low-power wireless mesh networking to the lighting controls market to increase the cost effectiveness of lighting solutions for commercial buildings.

VantagePoint Venture Partners led the round, which also included Claremont Creek Ventures. The company said that the funding will "enable the company to further its penetration into large-scale commercial buildings."
