Veveo Launches Mobile WikiTap Service

Andover, Massachusetts  --  Mobile video technology company Veveo announced the launch of a new application to search Wikipedia from mobile phones.

Called WikiTap, the application lets iPhone and G1 telephone users quickly search Wikipedia and to actively enhance and expand multimedia content relevant to an entry by being able to upload photos and videos.

“WikiTap gives iPhone and Android users a unique way to discover, enjoy, share and contribute to the already amazing amount of knowledge that exists in Wikipedia, all from the convenience of a mobile device,” said Murali Aravamudan , CEO of Veveo.
