Apptera Nets New Venture Capital Funding

San Bruno, California  --  IT company Apptera has garnered $10.5 million in a new round of institutional venture capital financing.

Apptera has developed technology for mobile advertising, commerce and search that helps consumers better interact with businesses over the phone.

The lead investor was Lightspeed Venture Partners, with additional investors Alloy Ventures and Walden International participating. The company said that the new funding would be used to "fuel growth of the company's voice and visual mobile advertising network."
