San Francisco, California -- Software company Syncplicity has secured $2.35 million in its first institutional round of venture capital funding.

Syncplicity has created synchronization technology that it says will "create a new way of managing files to liberate people from worrying about how and where the data is stored."

True Ventures led the investment round. The company did not say how the funding proceeds would be used.
