Open-Xchange Nabs $9 Million Venture Capital

Tarrytown, New York  -- IT company Open-Xchange has secured $9 million in its second round of institutional venture capital financing.

The company has created integrated open-source email and collaboration software for academic institutions, enterprises and government agencies.

The round was led by eCAPITAL, and included BayTech Venture Capital and others. The comely said it would use the funding proceeds to further develop its software applications and expand its business in the US, Europe and elsewhere.
