Appcelerator Raises Series A Venture Capital Round

Atlanta, Georgia  --  Software company Appcelerator has secured $4.1 million in its first round of venture capital financing.

Appcelerator has created open-source software that is optimized for Rich Internet application development on a service-oriented architecture.

Storm Ventures made the investment. The company said it would use the proceeds to improve the functionality of its platform.
