Bivio Networks Nets $16 Million New Funding

Pleasanton, California  --  Networking company Bivio Networks announced that it has secured $15.8 million in a new round of venture capital financing.

Bivio says that it has developed quote the industry's first next-generation packet handling platform that combines unparalleled scaling of network performance, processing power and application agility."

The financing round was led by Silver Creek Ventures, and included InterWest Partners, Venrock, Itochu Corporation, Storm Ventures, Goldman Sachs and others. The company said it would use the funding proceeds to expand its operations internationally.
