Cempra Pharmaceuticals Nets $10 Million Series B

MORRISVILLE, NC -- Cempra Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has received $10 million in a second round of venture capital investment from existing investors.
Cempra is developing medicines to help fight drug-resistant bacterial infections in the community and inside hospitals.
Past investors Aisling Capital and Intersouth Partners invested in the round. Funding proceeds were not disclosed by the company.
