Carbonite Extends Series B Financing Round

BOSTON, MA -- Storage company Carbonite Inc. has extended its series B financing to raise an additional $5.2 million in new venture capital.

Carbonite offers secure Internet-based backup services to individuals for their desktop and laptop personal computers.

Investors in the round were led by Four Rivers Partners, and included 3i Venture Capital, Menlo Ventures and CommonAngels.  Funding proceeds purposes were not disclosed.
