Seesmic Announces First Venture Capital Funding

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Online video site Seesmic said that it has closed its first round of venture capital financing, receiving $6 million.

Seesmic has launched a web site that allows users to upload and share their videos as part of creating a community of content and conversations.

Investors were led by Atomico, and included numerous angel investors.  Funding proceeds will be used to continue development of the company's site and service.
