Affomix Corporation Lands $7 Million Series A

NEW HAVEN, CT -- Biotechnology firm Affomix Corporation has raised $7 million in its first round of venture capital financing, according to a report in Tech Wire.

Affomix is still in stealth mode, but indications are that it is developing an automated approach for obtaining large numbers of antibodies useful in diagnosing diseases.

Elm Street Ventures, Connecticut Innovations and Four Seasons Ventures, LLC invested in the round.

The company did not disclose the use of funding proceeds.
