Cianna Medical Clears $9 Million Venture Capital Round

ALISO VIEJO, CA -- Medical device company Cianna Medical, Inc. announced that it has raised $9 million in new venture capital funding.  This was the company's first institutional financing.

Cianna markets its SAVI breast brachytherapy applicator.  The device helps physicians better target radiation to the area that needs it most, minimizing exposure of tissue that is otherwise healthy.

Fog City Fund, Windamere Venture Partners and notable individual medical device investors provided funding.
