EdgeCast Networks Enhances Video Streaming Platform

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Video streaming company EdgeCast Networks announced a major upgrade to its rich media content delivery network platform.

In addition to adding streaming capacity, EdgeCast has added real-time analytics, new security features and support for Flash and Windows Silverlight media players.

The company has also enhanced its European network with more live stream publishing points there that also serve to provide greater redundancy for the capture of live feeds.
