ShotSpotter Receives Public FBI Recognition For Service

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Gunshot detection company ShotSpotter, Inc. was recently recognized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for service in emergency cases as well as in urban environments.

ShotSpotter has developed a wireless system that locates gunshots in real-time and provides the location within 10 meters to local law enforcement authorities.  The system has been credited for saving several lives and providing the information for numerous arrests.

The company also makes a military version of the system that assists soldiers on patrol in locating the source of enemy small-arms fire.
