NETANYA, ISRAEL -- Semiconductor company Siano Mobile Silicon announced the launch and commercial availability of a new line of antenna-chip products.
Labeled the SMS8022, the chipset is a product of a partnership between Siano and US-based Vishay LLC, an electronic component manufacturer.
Only 35mm x 5mm x 1mm in size, the company says the omni-directional chip eliminates the need for long external antennas on mobile devices, and better enables mobile TV applications on handheld phones.
