Cellfire Clears $12 Million Venture Capital Funding

SAN JOSE, CA -- Software company Cellfire Inc. said that it has raised $12 million in series C venture capital financing.

Cellfire makes software for cellphones that allows users to have access to coupons providing discounts at restaurants, stores and entertainment venues.

Investors in the round were Silver Creek Ventures, Storm Ventures and Menlo Ventures.  The company said it would use the proceeds to continue product development and expand sales and marketing efforts.
