Allegro Diagnostics Finalizes Series A Financing

BOSTON, MA -- Biotech company Allegro Diagnostics, Inc. said that it has completed a $4 million first institutional round of company financing.

Allegro is commercializing gene expression molecular diagnostic testing for lung cancer and other diseases, based on technology initially developed by Dr. Jerome Brody and Dr. Avrum Spira at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Kodiak Venture Partners led the round which included Catalyst Health & Technology Partners.  The company will use the proceeds to take its first product into the clinic for initial testing.
