Robotics Incubator Willow Garage Ramps Up

MENLO PARK, CA -- Robotics incubator Willow Garage is beginning to implement its strategy of seeding robotics applications throughout the research community.

The group is a privately funded research lab that is focused on developing the next generation of robotics devices by providing open source hardware and software to other research facilities throughout the U.S.

The Garage hopes that the robotics field can be advanced dramatically by providing the building blocks for further research and commercialization for robots for personal, automobile and boating use.
