CafeMom Clears $12 Million In New Venture Capital

NEW YORK, NY -- Internet destination site CafeMom.com announced that it has secured $12 million in new venture capital funding.

The site is a popular destination for mothers and offers a social networking element as well as site-provided content.  CafeMom says it has passed several well-known parenting-oriented sites in various unspecified metrics.

Highland Capital Partners led the round which included Draper Fisher Jurvetson.  The company said it would use the funding to accelerate growth.
