Advanced Power Projects Powers Up With Venture Capital

FREMONT, CA --  Energy clean tech company Advanced Power Projects, Inc. announced that it has secured a round of institutional financing from a syndicate of venture capital firms.

The company aims to introduce technologies to the energy industry based on its Simplified Combined Cycle (SCC) that provides existing power plant owners with more power at lower cost, while reducing greenhouse gases.

Sequoia Capital and Bay Partners co-led the round, which also included Redpoint Ventures.  The company said it will use the investment to go to market.
