TEL AVIV, ISRAEL -- Internet company FixYa announced that it has closed its second round of venture capital funding, receiving $6 million in new expansion investment.

FixYa operates a website that provides consumers with product support for their electronics, computers or other technological product.  The benefit to consumers is to augment the sometimes less-than-helpful support from original manufacturers.

Mayfield Fund led the round, which included previous investor Pitango Venture Capital of Israel.  The company said it would use the funding proceeds to expand its operations in the U.S. and Israel and to offer new products and services.
