Appcelerator Launches New Open Source Community

NEW YORK, NY -- Appcelerator announced the re-launch of its open source rich Internet application (RIA) developer community, the Appcelerater Development Network.

Features of the new network include RIA Widget Exchange, new product downloads, social networking, updated reference documentation for the company's latest products and new product demos.

Appcelerator offers its software via the Appcelerator Platform for RIA application development.  The platform supports Java, PHP, Ruby, .NET, Python and Perl programming languages.
