Rapid Micro Launches Contaminant Detection System

BEDFORD, MA -- Biotech company Rapid Micro Biosystems, Inc. announced the commercial launch of its platform for rapidly detecting contaminents in pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.

Called the Growth Direct system, the company says it is the first and only automated system for rapid microbial detection that addresses manufacturer testing requirements.

The benefits of the system are to reduce testing time by automation and to improve quality improvement by replacing human detection with its digital imaging technology.
