Evolutionary Genomics Raises New Venture Capital

LAFAYETTE, CO -- Biotechnology company Evolutionary Genomics, Inc. has secured a new round of funding from a new investor.

The company has developed a proprietary "Adapted Traits" platform that sifts through large amounts of genomic data to identify those genes that have a high likelihood of commercial value for investigation.

Altira Group made the investment, the amount of which was not disclosed.  The company said it would use the funds for continued development of its system.
