ICO Global Launches Satellite For Mobile Services

CAPE CANVERAL, FL -- Wireless communications company ICO Global Communications Holdings (Nasdaq: ICOG) announced the successful launch of its North American satellite, ICO G1.

ICO said it will be conducting alpha trials later this year in preparation for rolling out its ICO mim (mobile interactive media) wireless service, which will provide mobile video, navigation and emergency assistance services.

Once the satellite has been placed into service, the company intends to launch initial roll-outs in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.
