Covestor Closes Series A Venture Capital Round

NEW YORK, NY -- Internet company Covestor LLC announced that it has raised $6.5 million in new venture capital investment from a syndicate of venture capital firms.

Covestor is creating a real-trade sharing service and community for individual investors to share their real investment decisions and compare performance.

Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital led the round, which also included European investor Amadeus Capital.  The company is using the proceeds to build out its trading platform.
