Concert Pharma Raises $37 Million Third Round

LEXINGTON, MA -- Concert Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that it has closed its series C round of financing by raising $37 million from a syndicate of venture capital and private equity firms.

Concert is developing new small molecule drugs for unmet medical conditions.  The company says it is the first to focus on "creating safer, more effective medicines using precision deuterium chemistry."

Investors in the round included Adage Capital Management, Three Arch Partners, TVM Capital, Skyline Ventures, Flagship Ventures, Brookside Capital, Greylock Partners, New Lead Venture Partners and QVT Fund.
