Novasys Medical Closes $50 Million Series D

Newark, CA -- Medical device company Novasys Medical, Inc. announced that it has secured $49.5 million in new venture capital funding from a syndicate of firms.

Novasys is developing novel therapies for the treatment of female pelvic disorders.  The company's initial focus is on treatments for female stress urinary incontinence.

Investors in the round included Versant Ventures, Three Arch Partners, Skyline Ventures, Delphi Ventures, Alloy Ventures, Affinity Capital, Onset Ventures, J.P. Morgan Partners and Invesco Private Capital.

The company said it would use the funds to bring its Renessa nonsurgical treatment to women suffering from stress urinary incontinence.
