SAN JOSE, CA -- Adobe Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: ADBE) has teamed up with numerous tech industry titans to establish a new consortium designed to support standardization of rich Internet applications across televisions, mobile devices, personal computer and consumer electronics.
Called the Open Screen Project, the group will address technology fragmentation by "enabling the runtime technology to be updated seamlessly over the air on mobile devices."
Adobe's Flash Player and AIR platforms will be the focus of the working group, which also includes major content providers.
