RESTON, VA -- Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) announced that it is a partner with the Department of
Homeland Security's National Communications System to provide it with satellite
priority service to the NCS priority service customers.
Under the terms of
the agreement MSV will provide satellite push-to-talk and priority telephony
communications through its alliance with the Sprint Emergency Response Team.
One of the benefits of this new service is the ability to
utilize satellite mutual aid radio talkgroups, which enable greater
communications between first responder departments during times of urgent need.
