JACKSON,
MS -- Wireless company SmartSynch
has raised $20 million in a new institutional venture capital round of
financing.
The company has been developing its smart grid in
intelligence solutions for the utility industry since 2000. The company’s applications allow for the
two-way delivery of real-time energy usage data over public wireless networks.
Among the investors were Credit Suisse, the Southern Farm
Bureau Life Insurance Company, Battelle Ventures, Gulf South Capital, Innovation
Valley Partners, Connecticut Ventures, and Siemens Venture Capital.
