Altierre Closes $8 Million Series C Funding

SAN JOSE, CA -- Wireless company Altierre announced that it has received $8 million in its third round of institutional venture capital financing.

Altierre combines wireless hardware and custom developed software into an integrated wireless platform that provides for multiple applications for various retail verticals.

Investors in the round included the D.E. Shaw Group and Labrador Ventures.  The new funding will be used to enable rapid expansion of its production and manufacturing in anticipation of "multiple implementations with major retail chains."
