Iamba Networks Secures Expansion Financing

CUPERTINO, CA -- Telecom networking company Iamba Networks, Inc. announced that it has raised $7 million in new venture capital financing.

Iamba provides telecom companies with Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) systems to build out their network infrastructure.  The company launched in 2006.

Investors in the round included Pitango Venture Capital, Cedar Fund and Giza Capital.  Iamba said it would use the funds to enhance its product line, expand its sales and support efforts and begin marketing its products in new regions.
