Sun Partners With Liferay On Web Presentation

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: JAVA) and Liferay, Inc. announced a joint initiative to develop a common Web presentation platform that utilizes integration technologies from both companies.

Sun and Liferay's products resulting from the collaboration will enable developers to access more powerful capabilities from Sun's open source application server, GlassFish.  Free downloads of the server are available at http://www.glassfish.org/portal.

The companies plan to sell their products and services separately.
