GenVault Closes $13 Million VC Funding

Carlsbad, California -- Biotech information company GenVault announced that it has closed $13 million in expansion round funding.

The company provides archiving and it feels solutions for enterprises managing DNA sample collections.  It's future product systems are planned to accommodate proteins and RNA capabilities as well.

Montague Newhall Associates led the round, which included Domain Associates, Questmark  Partners and Cross Creek Capital.  The company said the funding round would be used to accelerate the commercialization of its archiving systems.
