SodaHead Announces $8 Million Series B Funding

Los Angeles, California -- Internet company SodaHead said that it has closed on a series B financing round in the amount of $8.4 million.

The company is an "opinion community" that allows visitors to meet, discuss, debate, share and socialize with each other around current hot topics of politics, culture, music, sports or relationships.

Mission Ventures led the round with previous investor Mohr Davidow Ventures also co-investing.  The company said it would use the funding proceeds for new marketing initiatives, and for strategic hires.
