Aspen Aerogel Secures Series D Venture Capital

Northborough, Massachusetts -- Nanotechnology company Aspen Aerogel announced that it has raised $37 million in its fourth round of institutional venture capital.

Aspen develops nanotechnology-based insulation products for the oil, gas, building and construction, appliance and transportation markets.

Investors in the round were Arcapita Ventures, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners, Reservoir Capital Group and Rockport Capital Partners.  The company did not disclose how the proceeds purposes would be used.
