Denver, Colorado -- Software company IP Commerce has closed its third round of venture capital financing, raising $17 million from a syndicate of investors.

The company provides what it calls the world's first open commerce network that connects financial institutions with software developers and established distribution channels.

Investors were led by Venrock, and included Meritage Funds, Appian Ventures and Total Technology Ventures.  The company said the funding proceeds would be used to accelerate adoption of its network and software development community.
