Vollee Powers Second Life On Mobile Phones

Redwood City, California -- 3G streaming services provider Vollee is powering the technology behind bringing Second Life, the 3-D virtual world platform created by Linden Lab, to mobile devices.

While the system is still in free beta application mode, residents can explore the entire virtual world from their handsets by downloading a thin client to their device and logging in using their existing second life accounts.

The system is compatible with 40 mobile handsets and support is planned soon for additional handsets, including the iPhone.  Second Life is one of the largest and most successful virtual worlds on the Internet.
