BuzzFeed Buzzes In Venture Capital Financing

New York, New York --  Internet company BuzzFeed has raised $3.5 million in its first round of venture capital investment, according to a report in PE hub.

The company operates a website that aggregates pop-culture, news, music and video according to their relative popularity.

SoftBank Capital and Hearst Interactive Media were among the investors.  The company did not disclose how it would use the funding proceeds.
