PlaySpan Plays With $5 Million Venture Capital

Santa Clara, California --  Internet company PlaySpan has secured $5 million in a new round of funding, according to a report in PE Hub.

PlaySpan, formerly Tradeits, says that it is the game industry's "first publisher sponsored in-game commerce network."  The company has developed patent pending technologies in game search, micro-payment and commerce applications.

Easton Hunt Capital Partners, Menlo Ventures, STIC International and others invested in  the round.  The company did not disclose how it would use the proceeds.
