Heatwave Interactive Nets Series A Venture Capital

Cedar Park, Texas --  Digital media company Heatwave Interactive announced that it has raised $7.5 million in its first round of venture capital financing.

Heatwave is an entertainment software company that creates original, character-based video games that are a cross between casual online games and traditional video games.

Syncom Venture Partners made the investment for the company's "Central Studio" which it said will develop new and licensed videogame IP across multiple media channels.
