Accuri Accumulates $13 Million Series C Funding

Ann Arbor, Michigan -- Medical device company Accuri Cytometers announced that it has closed its third round of venture capital funding, receiving $13 million in new investment.

The company is developing high-performance cell analysis systems utilizing flow cytometry technologies to help researchers develop protocols and reagents for use in their research.

The investor syndicate was made up of Fidelity Biosciences, Baird Venture Partners, Flagship Ventures and Arboretum Ventures.  The company said it would use the proceeds from the financing to expand commercialization activities for its Accuri C6 Flow Cytometer System.
