Kickfire Lands $20 Million Series B Financing

Santa Clara, California -- Database company Kickfire announced that it has closed its second round of financing, raising $20 million in new funding.

Kickfire has developed technology to speed up database query performance via its high performance appliance for the MySQL market.

Pinnacle Ventures led the round, which included Accel Partners, Greylock Partners and the Mayfield Fund.  The company said the funding would be used to build its sales, marketing and customer support infrastructure.
