Anthera Accesses $19 Million In Venture Capital

San Mateo, California --  Anthera Pharmaceuticals announced that it has garnered $19 million in a new round of venture capital financing.

Anthera is focused on the development of clinical treatments for serious and life-threatening inflammatory diseases.

Investors in the round included HBM BioVentures, VantagePoint Venture Partners, Sofinnova Ventures, Pappas Ventures and Mitsubishi Corporation.  The company did not disclose how the proceeds purposes would be specifically used.
