Sprint Signs WiMAX Service Partners

Herndon, Virginia --  Wireless telecommunications provider Sprint (NYSE: S) announced that it has signed partners for its XOHM WiMAX location-based service offering.

The company is building a high-speed mobile data network, which it says will debut in Baltimore and timbre, with other cities expected to receive service in the fourth quarter.

The partners include uLocate Communications, Yelp, Eventful, Topix, NavTech, AccuWeather, Google, Open Wave Systems and Autodesk.
